Victor Llanquileo

Victor is an indigenous Mapuche activist serving 21 years on fabricated charges. He is one of the many Mapuche activists against the foresters who are damaging the Wallmapu (native land of the Mapuche). They advocate for the treaties to be upheld and ancestral lands returned to them. While incarcerted in 2019, a second false charge was placed on him alleging that he attacked a man's property in 2015.

Francisco Durán Ortíz

José Gerardo Talavera

José Antonio Arreola and José Luis Jiménez are Purépecha indigenous rights defenders and members of the Consejo Ciudadano Indígena de Nahuatzen (Indigenous Citizens’ Council of Nahuatzen). The Indigenous Citizens’ Council is a direct democracy-style community government in the state of Michoacán, which began a process of gaining autonomous status for the indigenous community in 2015, and has worked to defend the rights of the indigenous people of Nahuatzen.

José Luis Jiménez

José Antonio Arreola and José Luis Jiménez are Purépecha indigenous rights defenders and members of the Consejo Ciudadano Indígena de Nahuatzen (Indigenous Citizens’ Council of Nahuatzen).
