On Thursday, February 7th, 2019, at 4:40 in the morning, the evacuation of the squat “Asilo occupato” (“the occupied kindergarten”) in Via Alessandria 12 in Turin, which has been occupied since 1995, began. The evacuation was carried out as part of the “Operazione Scintilla” (“Operation Funke”). Several hundred carabinieri in combat uniforms, police officers and customs officers with machine guns and civil servants not only cleared the house, but also arrested six anarchists, all of whom have since been released (July 2020).

On Thursday, January 26, 2017, the Guardia Civil detained two comrades, Gabriel Pombo da Silva and Carmen Otero, as part of the Operation “Buyo” directed by the Court of Instruction n ° 4 of Vigo. The anarchists are accused in a first instance of illicit possession of weapons: 8 firearms, 6 of them detonating pistols ”transformed to make real fire”, 200 metal cartridges of different calibres and also were found close to 3000 €.

Comrade Gabriel Pombo Da Silva is a renowned anarchist writer who has spent more than twenty years in prisons in Spain and Germany. He has maintained a permanent fight against the brutal conditions of isolation and physical abuse to which the prisoners are subjected.

Operation Ritrovo

During the night of May 13, 2020, seven anarchists were arrested between Bologna, Milan and Tuscany, five others were required to reside in the municipality of residence and the anarchist documentation space Il Tribolo in Bologna was searched.
