Alejandro is a former member of the MIR (Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria) who then travel to Peru to join the MRTA (Túpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement). After being convicted in 1993 in Peru for the attack against the Peruvian American Institute in Lima, he served 12 years as a political prisoner in the maximum security prison Miguel Castro Castro until getting out in November 2005 and returning to Chile.
He was arrested on June 17, 2013, after an expropriation of a Santander Bank in the commune of Pudahuel, after a persecution by the police. He was convicted of Robbery with intimidation (10 years) + possession of a weapon of war (3 years and one day).
