Gaby was convicted at trial for allegedly participating in Janes' Revenge styled graffiti on "fake clinics" (christo-fascist propaganda centers posing as women's health clinics) in Florida. She was sentenced to 4 four months in prison and is currently in FCI Tallahassee with a projected release date of August 25, 2025. She is accepting letters, books, and art via mail.
The prosecution brought charges against Gaby in 2023 under the FACE Act, a law originally intended to protect actual abortion doctors. The Biden administration flipped this law on its head to prosecute the Janes' Revenge movement, claiming that "fake clinics" are bonafide "reproductive health centers". Gaby was charged with Conspiracy Against Civil Rights due to allegedly conspiring to violate the FACE Act, yet bizarrely was never charged with the underlying criminal conduct. At her trial, the prosecution claimed Gaby blinded the cameras while others graffitied the buildings.
Gaby is appealing their conviction from behind bars and has the opportunity to overturn federal precedent on prosecuting defendants for conspiracy without accusing them of the underlying criminal conduct and the application of the FACE Act to "fake clinics".
Gaby loves to garden, their favorite TV show is Adventure Time, and they're hopping to read up on anarchist literature while inside. Gaby is an anarchist radicalized during the 2020 Uprising for Black Power and organizes with Food Not Bombs and is a brilliant baker. Gaby would also appreciate abolitionist resources to leave behind in the prison for those serving longer sentences.
